B15FF - XM Tuner Antenna Short

DESCRIPTION

These DTCs are stored when a malfunction occurs in the roof antenna assembly which is connected to the radio and display receiver assembly.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
After replacing the radio and display receiver assembly of vehicles subscribed to pay-type satellite radio broadcasts, XM radio ID registration is necessary.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CONNECTION OF SATELLITE RADIO ANTENNA CABLE

(a) Check if the satellite radio antenna cable is securely connected to the radio and display receiver assembly.

OK:

Satellite radio antenna cable is securely connected.

NG -- SECURELY CONNECT SATELLITE RADIO ANTENNA CABLE
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. REPLACE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the antenna cord sub-assembly Removal.

(b) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

NG -- REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SATELLITE RADIO ANTENNA ASSEMBLY - AMPLIFIER ANTENNA ASSEMBLY)

OK -- END

3. REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SATELLITE RADIO ANTENNA ASSEMBLY - AMPLIFIER ANTENNA ASSEMBLY)

(a) Replace the harness and connector.

(b) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

NG -- REPLACE SATELLITE RADIO ANTENNA ASSEMBLY

OK -- END

4. REPLACE SATELLITE RADIO ANTENNA ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the satellite radio antenna assembly Removal.

(b) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

NG -- REPLACE AMPLIFIER ANTENNA ASSEMBLY

OK -- END

5. REPLACE AMPLIFIER ANTENNA ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the amplifier antenna assembly Removal.

(b) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

NG -- REPLACE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY Removal

OK -- END
