Applicability

Introduction

Some 2013 model year Avalon and Avalon HV vehicles may exhibit a condition where the rear sunshade is inoperative and appears to be binding in the package tray. Please follow the process below to address this condition.

Repair Procedure





1. Verify condition is present by cycling the rear sunshade and confirming interference with the package tray.

2. Replace the package tray according to Repair Manual instructions.

3. Reassemble the package tray according to Repair Manual instructions.

4. Check that there is clearance between the sunshade and package tray. Verify operation by cycling the rear sunshade.
