DESCRIPTION

If the front passenger side manual UP / DOWN function does not operate, a malfunction may exist in the power window regulator motor assembly RH (front passenger side), power window regulator switch assembly (front passenger side), power window regulator master switch assembly or wire harness.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE)

(a) Inspect the power window regulator switch assembly (front passenger side) Front Passenger Side Power Window Switch (for Hatchback).

NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE) Removal (from 07/2011)
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE)

(a) Inspect the power window regulator motor assembly RH (front passenger side) Hatchback Front Door.

NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE) Removal (from 07/2011)
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY - P/W RELAY)

(a) Disconnect the F20 power window regulator switch assembly (front passenger side) connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the F20 power window regulator switch assembly (front passenger side) connector.

(b) Disconnect the F21 power window regulator motor assembly RH (front passenger side) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the F20 power window regulator switch assembly (front passenger side) connector.

(b) Disconnect the G20 power window regulator master switch assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal (from 07/2011)
