SEAT BELT: SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM (for Hatchback): HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

* Use these procedures to troubleshoot the seat belt warning system.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
Standard voltage:
11 to 14 V
If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK FOR DTC*
(a) Check for DTCs and make a note of any codes that are output.
(b) Clear the DTCs.
(c) Recheck for DTCs. Based on the DTCs output above, try to cause the output of the same CAN system DTC or airbag system DTC by simulating the symptoms indicated by the DTC.
