SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Hatchback): REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION:
Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing Airbag System (for Hatchback with VSC/Built-in Type Yaw Rate Sensor).

NOTICE:
* When removing front seat assembly RH, perform zero point calibration and sensitivity check Programming and Relearning.
* When replacing the occupant detection ECU, perform zero point calibration and sensitivity check Programming and Relearning.

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH

Removal (from 07/2011)

3. REMOVE OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.





(b) Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the occupant detection ECU.
