AXLE AND DIFFERENTIAL: REAR AXLE HUB (for Hatchback): REMOVAL

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH side as for the LH side.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

2. REMOVE REAR BRAKE DRUM SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Rear Drum Brake)

3. SEPARATE NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for Rear Disc Brake) Removal (from 07/2011)

4. SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Rear Disc Brake) Removal (from 07/2011)

5. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE PAD (for Rear Disc Brake) Removal (from 07/2011)

6. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER MOUNTING (for Rear Disc Brake) Removal (from 07/2011)

7. REMOVE REAR DISC (for Rear Disc Brake) Removal (from 07/2011)

8. SEPARATE SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE (w/ ABS) Removal (from 07/2011)

9. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY (for Rear Drum Brake)

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and remove the axle hub and bearing from the axle beam.





10. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY (for Rear Disc Brake)

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and remove the axle hub and bearing and the dust cover from the axle beam.
