DESCRIPTION
The main body ECU receives the following signals:
* Headlight dimmer switch TAIL, HEAD, HIGH or high flash signal
* Fog light switch signal*1
* *1: w/ Fog Light
The combination meter assembly receives the following signals:
* Turn signal switch turn right or turn left signal

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus:
(1) for Main Body ECU: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
(2) for Combination Meter: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.
(e) According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.

OK:
Normal conditions listed above are displayed.
Result

B -- INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH, DIMMER SWITCH OR FOG LIGHT SWITCH)
C -- INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (TURN SIGNAL SWITCH)
A -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Lighting System (for Hatchback)
2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH, DIMMER SWITCH OR FOG LIGHT SWITCH)
(a) Inspect the headlight dimmer switch assembly Testing and Inspection.
NG -- REPLACE HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal (from 07/2011)
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the D106 headlight dimmer switch assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the D143 main body ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
*1: w/ Fog Light
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU Removal (from 07/2011)
4. INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (TURN SIGNAL SWITCH)
(a) Inspect the headlight dimmer switch assembly Testing and Inspection.
NG -- REPLACE HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal (from 07/2011)
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the D106 headlight dimmer switch assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the D101 combination meter assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Removal (from 07/2011)
