DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU detects the condition of each door unlock detection switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

(e) According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.

*2: w/ Theft Deterrent System

*3: for 5 Door

OK:

Normal conditions listed above are displayed.

Result

*1: w/ Power Door Lock

*2: w/ Theft Deterrent System

B -- INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

C -- INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

A -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Interior Lighting System (for Hatchback)

2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Inspect the front door lock assembly Front Door Lock (for Hatchback).

NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY Removal (from 07/2011)
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the G23 or F23 front door lock assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the D143 main body ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

LH

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU Removal (from 07/2011)

4. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Inspect the rear door lock assembly Rear Door Lock (for Hatchback).

NG -- REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY Removal (from 07/2011)
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the H12 or R3 rear door lock assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the 3D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

LH

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

6. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.

(b) Remove the main body ECU from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
