DESCRIPTION
The main body ECU detects the condition of each door courtesy light switch.

PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
(e) According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.

2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Inspect the front door courtesy light switch assembly LH Front Door Courtesy Switch (for Hatchback).
NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH Removal (from 07/2011)
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)
(a) Disconnect the J60 front door courtesy light switch assembly LH connector.
(b) Disconnect the 3D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.
(b) Remove the main body ECU from the instrument panel junction block assembly.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(a) Disconnect J61 front door courtesy light switch assembly RH connector.
(b) Disconnect the D143 main body ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU Removal (from 07/2011)
7. INSPECT REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Inspect the rear door courtesy light switch assembly Rear Door Courtesy Switch (for Hatchback).
NG -- REPLACE REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal (from 07/2011)
OK -- Continue to next step.
8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU)
(a) Disconnect J62 or J63 rear door courtesy light switch assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the D143 main body ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

9. INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH)
(a) Inspect the back door lock assembly (back door courtesy switch) Testing and Inspection.

(1) Disconnect the T5 back door lock assembly (back door courtesy switch) connector.
(b) w/o Power Door Lock
(1) Disconnect the T8 back door lock assembly (back door courtesy switch) connector.
(c) Disconnect the 3D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

11. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
