1NZ-FE LUBRICATION: OIL PUMP (for Hatchback): REPLACEMENT

1. REMOVE OIL PUMP SEAL





(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the oil pump seal.

2. INSTALL OIL PUMP SEAL





(a) Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new oil seal until its surface is flush with the timing chain cover.

NOTICE:
Do not tap the oil seal at an angle.

(b) Apply a light coat of MP grease to the oil pump seal lip.

NOTICE:
Keep the lip free of foreign matter.
