BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (for Hatchback): TS and CG Terminal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

In Test Mode (signal check), a malfunction in the speed sensor that cannot be detected when the vehicle is stopped can be detected while driving.

Sensor check mode can be entered by connecting terminals TS and CG of the DLC3 and turning the ignition switch from off to ON.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM ABS Warning Light Remains ON (from 07/2011)

B -- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM How To Proceed With Troubleshooting (from 07/2011)
A -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT DLC3 TC and CG Terminal Circuit (from 07/2011)

B -- INSPECT POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY
A -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TS of DLC3 - POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY)

(a) Turn the ignition switch off.

(b) Disconnect the power steering ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(d) Reconnect the power steering ECU connector.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CG of DLC3 - BODY GROUND) TC and CG Terminal Circuit (from 07/2011)

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. INSPECT POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY





(a) Turn the ignition switch off.

(b) Using SST, connect terminals TS and CG of the DLC3.

(c) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(d) Check that the PS warning light is blinking.
