Reassembly (from 07/2011)

SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Hatchback Front Passenger Side): REASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

1. INSTALL SEAT TRACK ADJUSTING HANDLE

(a) Engage the 2 hooks to install the seat track adjusting handle.

2. INSTALL SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP

(a) Install the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.

3. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the separate type front seatback spring assembly with the 4 bolts.

Torque : 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

4. INSTALL SEAT LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for 3 Door)

(a) Engage the 2 cable end and 2 clamps to install the seat lock control cable assembly.

5. INSTALL SEATBACK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for 3 Door)

(a) Engage the cable clamp and 3 clamps to install the seatback control cable assembly.

(b) Engage the nipple end and clamp to install the seatback control cable assembly.

(c) Install the casing cap.

6. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH

(a) Engage the 2 guides to install the seat cushion edge protector RH.

(b) Install the screw.

7. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH

(a) Engage the 2 guides to install the seat cushion edge protector LH.

(b) Install the screw.

8. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

(a) Engage the guide to install to reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

9. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Engage the guide to install to reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

10. INSTALL RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL BASE (for 3 Door)

(a) Engage the 4 guides to install the reclining remote control base.

11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

(a) Install the front seat side airbag assembly with 2 new nuts.

CAUTION:
* The nuts must not be reused.
* Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

(b) Engage the 2 clamps.

12. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

NOTICE:
* For vehicles with side airbags, the side airbags may not be activated normally unless the separate type front seatback cover is securely installed.
* Check that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.
* Install the bracket securely.

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seat back pad with 6 new hog rings.

NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the cover.
* When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

13. INSTALL SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

(a) Temporary install the front seatback cover with pad.

(b) Install the front seatback cover bracket with the 2 nuts. (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

NOTICE:
* For vehicles with side airbags, the side airbags may not be activated normally unless the front seatback cover is securely installed.
* Check that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.
* Install the bracket securely.

(c) Fasten the 2 zippers. (for Sport Package)

(d) Align the protruding portion of the front seat headrest support with the installation groove of the front seat adjuster frame.

(e) Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

(f) Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.

Do not soil or scratch the front seatback cover.

(g) Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.

Do not soil or scratch the front seatback cover.

14. INSTALL RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 3 Door)

(a) Connect the cable end to the reclining remote control lever sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

(b) Install the control lever sub-assembly with the 2 screws.

(d) Engage the claw and close the cover.

15. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 14 new hog rings.

NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion pad.
* When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

(b) Using hog ring pliers, install the 2 new hog rings.

* When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

16. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

(a) Engage the 5 hooks and temporary install the seat cushion cover with pad.

(b) Engage the 2 hooks.

(d) Engage the 4 hooks to install the seat cushion cover with pad.

(e) Fasten the hook and loop fastener. (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

(f) Connect the seatback cover pad.

17. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE

(a) Engage the 4 clamps.

(b) Connect the 2 connector to install the front seat wire.

18. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD

(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the front seat cushion inner shield.

19. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

(a) Engage the clip and 2 claws to install the front seat cushion shield.

(b) Install the screw.

20. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE

(a) Engage the claw to install the reclining adjuster release handle.

21. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the front seat headrest assembly.
