Disassembly (from 07/2011)
SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Hatchback Driver Side): DISASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.
1. REMOVE SEAT SLIDE POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR Removal (from 07/2011)
2. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR Removal (from 07/2011)
3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY Removal (from 07/2011)
4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the front seat headrest assembly.
5. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE
(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle.

6. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE (w/ Vertical Adjuster)
(a) Remove the screw and the vertical adjusting handle.
7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD
(a) Remove the screw.
(b) Disengage the 2 claws and clip to remove the front seat cushion shield.
8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD
(a) Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front seat cushion inner shield.
9. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD
(a) Disconnect the seatback cover band.
(b) Unfasten the hook to loop fastener. (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)
(c) Disengage the 4 hooks.
(d) Disengage the 3 clamps to separate the front seat side airbag wire harness. (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)
(e) Disengage the 2 hooks.
(f) Disengage the 5 hooks and remove the seat cushion with pad.
10. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER
(a) Remove the 2 hog rings.
(b) Remove the 14 hog rings and the separate type front seat cushion cover from the separate type front seat cushion pad.
11. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD
(a) Remove the 3 hog rings.
(b) Remove the 3 hog rings.
(c) Unfasten the 2 zippers. (for Sport Package)
(d) Disengage the 4 claws to remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.
(e) Remove the 2 nuts and the seatback bracket. (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)
(f) Remove the front seatback cover with pad.
12. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER
(a) Remove the 6 hog rings and the separate type front seatback cover from the separate type front seatback pad.
13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)
(a) Disengage the 2 clamps.
(b) Remove the 2 nuts and the front seat side airbag assembly.
CAUTION:
* The nuts must not be reused.
* Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD (w/ Vertical Adjuster)
(a) Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front seat cushion lower shield.
15. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH
(a) Disengage the guide to remove the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.
16. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH
(a) Disengage the guide to remove the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.
17. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD RH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)
(a) Disengage the hook as shown in the illustration.
(b) Remove the screw.
(c) Disengage the clip to remove the front seat cushion lower shield RH.
18. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)
(a) Disengage the hook as shown in the illustration.
(b) Remove the screw.
(c) Disengage the clip to remove the front seat cushion lower shield LH.
19. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)
(a) Remove the screw.
(b) Disengage the 2 guides to remove the seat cushion edge protector RH.
20. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)
(a) Remove the screw.
(b) Disengage the 2 guides to remove the seat cushion edge protector LH.
21. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (w/o Vertical Adjuster)
(a) Remove the screw.
(b) Disengage the 2 guides to remove the seat cushion edge protector RH.
22. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (w/o Vertical Adjuster)
(a) Remove the screw.
(b) Disengage the 2 guides to remove the seat cushion edge protector LH.
23. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and separate type front seatback spring assembly.
24. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP
(a) Remove the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.
25. REMOVE SEAT TRACK ADJUSTING HANDLE
(a) Disengage the 2 hooks to remove the seat track adjusting handle.
