DESCRIPTION

The vehicle approaching speaker controller detects when the shift state is park (P). When the vehicle approaching speaker controller detects that the shift state has been changed to park (P) due to the operation of the transmission shift main switch (P position switch), it stops operating the vehicle approaching speaker.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK ELECTRONIC SHIFT LEVER SYSTEM

(a) Check that the transmission shift main switch indicator illuminates when the transmission shift main switch (P position switch) is operated.

OK:

Indicator illuminates in accordance with switch operation

NG -- GO TO ELECTRONIC SHIFT LEVER SYSTEM How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER CONTROLLER - TRANSMISSION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the L140 vehicle approaching speaker controller connector.

(b) Disconnect the A23 transmission control ECU assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
