DESCRIPTION

When selecting ECO mode, the switch operation signal is sent to the air conditioning amplifier assembly. Following this, ECO mode control is activated for the heater and air conditioning system.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (CAN BUS CHECK) Pattern Select Switch EV Mode Circuit

2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HEALTH CHECK) Pattern Select Switch EV Mode Circuit

B -- GO TO DTC CHART
A -- Continue to next step.

3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (COMBINATION METER)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test / Indicat. ECO Mode.

(d) Perform the "Indicat. ECO Mode" Active Test.

4. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (ECO SWITCH)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioning / Data List / ECO Switch.

(d) Read the value displayed on the Techstream.

A -- CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS Check for Intermittent Problems

5. INSPECT INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (ECO MODE SWITCH)

(a) Remove the integration control and panel sub-assembly (ECO MODE switch).

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(c) Install the integration control and panel sub-assembly.

6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECO MODE SWITCH - BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect connector L78 from the integration control and panel sub-assembly (ECO MODE switch).

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(c) Connect the integration control and panel sub-assembly connector.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECO MODE SWITCH - AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect connector L78 from the integration control and panel sub-assembly (ECO MODE switch).

(b) Disconnect connector L17 from the air conditioning amplifier assembly.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(d) Connect the air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

(e) Connect the integration control and panel sub-assembly connector.
