DESCRIPTION

The navigation ECU sub-assembly receives a reverse signal from the power management control ECU via the No. 1 integration relay.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REVERSE SIGNAL)

(a) Disconnect the navigation ECU sub-assembly connector.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY)

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Problem Symptoms Table

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY)

(a) Disconnect the navigation ECU sub-assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the No. 1 integration relay connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY - POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect the No. 1 integration relay connector.

(b) Disconnect the power management control ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. REPLACE NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY

(a) Replace the No. 1 integration relay with a new one or known good one Removal.

(b) Check that the malfunction disappears.

OK:

Malfunction disappears.

NG -- REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU Removal

OK -- END (NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY WAS DEFECTIVE)
