B2090 - Driving Support System Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The seat belt control ECU receives collision information from the driving support ECU and brake booster with master cylinder (skid control ECU) via CAN communication, and tightens the seat belt by operating the motor inside the front seat outer belt.

When the driving support ECU detects a malfunction in the dynamic radar cruise control system and pre-collision system, the malfunction information is sent to the seat belt control ECU, which outputs this DTC.

When DTC B2090 is detected, other DTCs are also stored by the driving support ECU (dynamic radar cruise control system and pre-collision system).

Also, if the lane recognition camera sensor assembly beam axis adjustment is not performed after installing the lane recognition camera sensor assembly, DTC B2090 is stored.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT
When clearing the DTCs, first clear the DTC output from the driving support ECU (Pre-Collision 2), and then clear the DTC output from the seat belt control ECU.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM)

(a) Check DTCs for dynamic radar cruise control system Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System.

OK:

Dynamic radar cruise control system DTCs are not output.

NG -- GO TO DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (DRIVING SUPPORT ECU (PRE-COLLISION 2))

(a) Using the Techstream, enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Trouble Codes.

(b) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

"Pre-Collision 2" DTC is not output.

3. ADJUST LANE RECOGNITION CAMERA SENSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Adjust the lane recognition camera sensor assembly Adjustments.

4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM)

(a) Using the Techstream, enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision / Trouble Codes.

(b) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(c) Recheck for DTCs.

OK:

DTC B2090 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU Removal
