Removal

P314 HYBRID TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: MOTOR WATER JACKET COVER ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

1. DRAIN COOLANT (for Inverter) Coolant (for Inverter)

2. REMOVE NO. 2 MOTOR WATER JACKET COVER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 5 bolts.





(b) Insert the blade of an oil pan seal cutter between the transaxle housing. Cut through the applied sealer and remove the No. 2 motor water jacket cover assembly.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the contact surfaces of the transaxle housing where the motor water jacket cover is installed.

3. REMOVE HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY

4. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 1 TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE BRACKET Removal

6. REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CASE COVER

(a) Remove the 2 bolts, clip and automatic transmission case cover from the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.





7. REMOVE NO. 1 MOTOR WATER JACKET COVER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 8 bolts.





(b) Insert the blade of an oil pan seal cutter between the transaxle housing. Cut through the applied sealer and remove the No. 1 motor water jacket cover assembly.

Be careful not to damage the contact surfaces of the transaxle housing where the motor water jacket cover is installed.
