2AR-FXE ENGINE CONTROL: CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR

(a) Clean and degrease the threads of the bolt for the camshaft position sensor.

(b) Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the sensor.

NOTICE:
Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or does not jump out of position during installation.

(c) Apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of the bolt.

Adhesive:

Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent.

(d) Install the sensor with the bolt.

Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

(e) Connect the sensor connector.
