DESCRIPTION
When the ECO mode switch (eco switch assembly) is turned on, the air conditioning amplifier assembly receives an ECO mode switch (eco switch assembly) ON signal and controls the air conditioning to enhance fuel efficiency.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Data Test.
(e) Check the values by referring to the table below.
Air Conditioner
OK:
ECO mode switch (eco switch assembly) condition displayed on the Techstream changes with the actual switch operation.
NG -- INSPECT ECO MODE SWITCH (ECO SWITCH ASSEMBLY)
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
2. INSPECT ECO MODE SWITCH (ECO SWITCH ASSEMBLY)
(a) Remove the ECO mode switch (eco switch assembly) Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPLACE ECO MODE SWITCH (ECO SWITCH ASSEMBLY) Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECO MODE SWITCH (ECO SWITCH ASSEMBLY) - AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY)
(a) Disconnect the I77 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECO MODE SWITCH (ECO SWITCH ASSEMBLY) - BODY GROUND)
(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY Removal
