DESCRIPTION

The radio and display receiver assembly receives a reverse signal from the power management control ECU via the engine room junction block assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the radio and display receiver assembly connector.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - ENGINE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Problem Symptoms Table

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - ENGINE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the radio and display receiver assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the engine room junction block assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect the engine room junction block assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the power management control ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. REPLACE ENGINE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the engine room junction block assembly with a new one or known good one Removal.

(b) Check that the malfunction disappears.

OK:

Malfunction disappears.

NG -- REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU Removal

OK -- END (ENGINE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE)
