How To Proceed With Troubleshooting





PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: BLIND SPOT MONITOR SYSTEM: HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

* Use the following procedure to troubleshoot the blind spot monitor system.
* *: Use the Techstream.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE

(a) Measure the auxiliary battery voltage with the power switch off.

Standard Voltage:

11 to 14 V

If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the auxiliary battery before proceeding to the next step.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*

(a) Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally Diagnosis System.

5. CHECK FOR DTC AND FREEZE FRAME DATA*

(a) Refer to DTC Check/Clear for the blind spot monitor system Blind Spot Monitor System.

(b) Record or print DTCs and freeze frame data, if necessary Freeze Frame Data.

A -- Continue to next step.

6. DTC CLEAR*

(a) Refer to DTC Check/Clear for the blind spot monitor system Blind Spot Monitor System.

HINT
The current DTCs may not indicate actual malfunctions depending on the vehicle operating conditions.

7. RECHECK FOR DTC*

(a) Refer to DTC Check/Clear for the blind spot monitor system Blind Spot Monitor System.

* Even if the malfunction symptom is not confirmed, check for DTCs. This is because the system stores history DTCs.
* Check the DTC and inspect the area that the code indicates.

8. DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART

(a) Find the output DTC in Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart Blind Spot Monitor System.
