DESCRIPTION

When the blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is turned on, a signal is sent to the blind spot monitor sensor RH. The blind spot monitor system operates according to this signal.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuse for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Blind Spot Monitor Master / Data list.

(e) According to the display on Techstream, read the Data List.

2. INSPECT BLIND SPOT MONITOR MAIN SWITCH (WARNING CANCELING SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

(a) Remove the blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) Removal.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Resistance:

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR MAIN SWITCH - AUXILIARY BATTERY)

(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR MAIN SWITCH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH)

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
