U0233 - Lost Communication with Blind Spot Monitor Master Module

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor senor assembly LH judges that there is a communication problem with the blind spot monitor sensor RH.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

(a) Check for CAN Communication System DTCs Diagnosis System.

OK:

CAN communication system DTCs are not output.

NG -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM How to Proceed With Troubleshooting
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH

(a) Replace the blind spot monitor sensor RH Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. RECHECK DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Blind Spot Monitor System.

(b) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

NG -- REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH Removal

OK -- END
