P3108-536 - Lost Communication with A/C System Control Module
DESCRIPTION
- The power management control ECU detects a wiring malfunction in the serial communication line between it and the compressor with motor assembly.

1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR) P0340-886
NG -- CONNECT SECURELY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR)
(a) Check the connection of connector E65 of the compressor with motor assembly.
OK:
The connector is connected securely and there are no contact problems.
NG -- CONNECT SECURELY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
(a) Disconnect connector E65 from the compressor with motor assembly.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

(c) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
NOTICE:
Turning the power switch on (IG) with the compressor with motor assembly connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.
(e) Turn the power switch off.
(f) Connect the compressor with motor assembly connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (READY).
(c) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
(d) Check if DTCs are output.
Result:
(e) Turn the power switch off.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU - COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY)
(a) Disconnect connector A38 from the power management control ECU.
(b) Disconnect connector E65 from the compressor with motor assembly.
(c) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Turning the power switch on (IG) with the power management control ECU connector and the compressor with motor assembly connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.
(e) Turn the power switch off.
(f) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(g) Connect the compressor with motor assembly connector.
(h) Connect the power management control ECU connector.

(a) Disconnect connector E65 from the compressor with motor assembly.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
