Electronically Controlled Brake System
BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM: C1211/25, C1212/26, C1225/31-C1228/34, C1352/21, C1353/23, C1356/22, C1357/24: SLA Linear Solenoid
C1357/24 - RL Solenoid
DESCRIPTION
Each solenoid adjusts pressure which affects each wheel cylinder according to signals from the skid control ECU and controls the vehicle.
The master cut solenoid is closed and blocks the regulator pressure from the electronically controlled brake system control pressure when the system is normal. The master cut solenoid is open and sends the master cylinder and regulator hydraulic pressure to the non-assisted brake wheel cylinders during fail-safe operation during a system malfunction.
HINT
If the supply voltage decreases, a drop in current may cause a DTC to be stored.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
When replacing the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) or brake actuator (brake booster with master cylinder assembly), perform initialization and calibration of the linear solenoid valve Initialization.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Check if the same DTC is output Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
HINT
If a DTC for undervoltage is output, first troubleshoot the power source system.
Result:
B -- REPAIR CIRCUITS INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTCS Electronically Controlled Brake System
C -- REPLACE BRAKE BOOSTER WITH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY Removal
A -- CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
