C1626 - Steering Angle Sensor Failure

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored if the navigation ECU sub-assembly receives a signal via CAN communication from the steering sensor that indicates an internal malfunction.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
* When "System initializing" is displayed on the navigation ECU sub-assembly after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, correct the steering angle neutral point Initialization.
* Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the parking assist monitor system may be needed Calibration.

PROCEDURE

1. REPLACE STEERING SENSOR

(a) Replace the steering sensor Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT

(a) Clear the DTCs Parking Assist Monitor System.

(b) Check for DTCs Parking Assist Monitor System.
