POWER ASSIST SYSTEMS: POWER STEERING SYSTEM: C1521/25, C1531/25-C1534/25: Short in Motor Circuit
C1534/25 - EEPROM Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

If the power steering ECU assembly stores these DTCs, it will shut off the motor relay circuit (built into the power steering ECU assembly) and stop power assist. However, power assist continues if DTC C1533/25 or C1534/25 is output.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
If the power steering ECU assembly has been replaced, perform assist map writing Programming and Relearning.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
