B2342 - Switch Failure

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly) detects that the sliding roof switch is stuck for 30 seconds or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When the sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly) is removed and reinstalled or replaced, it requires initialization Initialization.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (SLIDING ROOF SWITCH)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch to on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Sliding Roof / Data List.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

OK:

"OFF" appears on the Techstream screen.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF ECU - BODY GROUND)

OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF ECU (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY) Removal

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF ECU - BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the S4 sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly) connector.

(b) Disconnect the S12 sliding roof switch (roof console box assembly) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT SLIDING ROOF SWITCH (ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY)

(a) Remove the sliding roof switch (roof console box assembly) Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
