B2312 - Power Window Switch Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The power window regulator motor assembly LH (for driver door) is operated by the power window regulator master switch assembly. The power window regulator motor assembly LH (for driver door) has motor, regulator and ECU functions.

This DTC is stored when the ECU built into the regulator motor determines that the power window regulator master switch assembly is stuck.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
* DTC B2312 can be stored in the power window regulator motor assembly LH (for driver door).
* If a power window regulator motor assembly LH (for driver door) has been replaced with a new one, initialize the power window control system Initialization.
* Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT

(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC B2312 is not output.

NG -- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DRIVER DOOR WINDOW MOTOR)

OK -- END (DUE TO SWITCH BEING OPERATED FOR 20 SECONDS OR MORE)

2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DRIVER DOOR WINDOW MOTOR)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch to on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / D-Door Motor / Data List.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

OK:

On the Techstream screen, ON or OFF is displayed accordingly.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR LH (FOR DRIVER DOOR))

OK -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH (FOR DRIVER DOOR) Removal

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR LH (FOR DRIVER DOOR))

(a) Disconnect the power window regulator master switch assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the power window regulator motor assembly LH (for driver door) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the power window regulator master switch assembly Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
