DESCRIPTION

The television display assembly sends a sound signal to the multi-media interface ECU through this circuit.

If there is an open or short in the circuit, sound cannot be heard from the speakers even if there is no malfunction in the stereo component amplifier, radio receiver, multi-media interface ECU, television display assembly or speakers.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU - TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the multi-media interface ECU and television display assembly connectors.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY

(a) Reconnect the television display assembly connector.





(b) Check the waveform according to the conditions shown in the table below.
