SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: REAR AIRBAG SENSOR: REMOVAL

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.
* The procedure listed below are for the LH side.

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION:
Be sure to read "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing Airbag System (for TMC Made) for TMC made, Airbag System (for TMMK Made) for TMMK made).

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.

3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY Removal

4. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE Removal

5. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP

6. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH Removal

7. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE REAR AIRBAG SENSOR

(a) Disconnect the connector.





NOTICE:
When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(b) Remove the bolt and rear airbag sensor.
