Removal





2AZ-FXE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: THROTTLE BODY: REMOVAL

1. DRAIN COOLANT (for Engine) Coolant (for Engine)

2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector*1.





(b) Disconnect the purge VSV connector*2.

(c) Disconnect the 2 purge VSV vacuum hoses*3.

(d) Disconnect the purge line hose from the clamp*4.

(e) Disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover.





(f) Lock the No. 1 air cleaner hose clamp, and then disconnect the air cleaner cap sub-assembly from the throttle body.





(g) Remove the 2 bolts and air cleaner cap sub-assembly.





(h) Remove the air cleaner filter element from the air cleaner case.

4. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY

(a) Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector and wire harness clamp.





(b) Remove the 4 bolts, and then remove the fuel pipe support and throttle body.





(c) Disconnect the purge line hose from the throttle body.





(d) Disconnect the water by-pass hose from the throttle body.

(e) Disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle body.

(f) Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.
