Hybrid Control System

P311 HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL: HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM: TERMINALS OF ECU

NOTICE:
Do not measure voltage or waveform directly at the sealed side of the hybrid vehicle control ECU connectors. Doing so may damage the connectors because these connectors are waterproof.

1. Oscilloscope waveforms

HINT
Oscilloscope waveform samples are provided here for informational purposes. Noise and fluttering waveforms have been omitted.

(a) Waveform 1 (System main relay operation signal)

(b) Waveform 2 (Immobilizer communication signal)

HINT
The waveform will vary depending on the content of the digital communication (digital signal).

(c) Waveform 3 (CAN communication signal)

HINT
The waveform will vary depending on the content of the digital communication (digital signal).

(d) Waveform 4 (Vehicle speed signal)

HINT
The higher the vehicle speed, the shorter the cycle.

(e) Waveform 5 (VLO signal)

HINT
The cycle will vary depending on the specified voltage of the hybrid vehicle converter (DC/DC converter).

(f) Waveform 6 (HV battery blower fan operation signal)

(g) Waveform 7 (HV water pump signal)

(h) Waveform 8 (Communication signal from hybrid vehicle control ECU to MG ECU)

HINT
The waveform will vary depending on the content of the digital communication (digital signal).

(i) Waveform 9 (Communication signal from MG ECU to hybrid vehicle control ECU)

HINT
The waveform will vary depending on the content of the digital communication.

(j) Waveform 10 (MG communication clock signal)

(k) Waveform 11 (MG communication request signal)

(l) Waveform 12 (Communication signal from battery smart unit to hybrid vehicle control ECU)

HINT
The waveform will vary depending on the content of the digital communication (digital signal).

(m) Waveform 13 (Airbag deployment signal)

(n) Waveform 14 (READY signal)

(o) Waveform 15 (A/C communication signal)

HINT
The waveform will vary depending on the content of the digital communication (digital signal).

(p) Waveform 16 (GO signal)

HINT
The pulse cycle becomes shorter as the engine speed increases.

NOTICE:
Do not measure voltage or waveform directly at the sealed side of the inverter with converter assembly connectors. Doing so may damage the connectors because these connectors are waterproof.

2. Oscilloscope waveforms

HINT
Oscilloscope waveform samples are provided here for informational purposes. Noise and fluttering waveforms have been omitted.

(a) Waveform 1 (Motor resolver signal)

HINT
Pulse cycle A becomes shorter as the rotor speed increases.

(b) Waveform 2 (MG ECU communication request signal)

(c) Waveform 3 (Communication signal from MG ECU to hybrid vehicle control ECU)

HINT
The waveform will vary depending on the content of the digital communication (digital signal).

(d) Waveform 4 (GI signal)

HINT
The pulse cycle becomes shorter as the engine speed increases.

(e) Waveform 5 (Generator resolver signal)

HINT
Pulse cycle A becomes shorter as the rotor speed increases.

(f) Waveform 6 (Communication signal from hybrid vehicle control ECU to MG ECU)

HINT
The waveform will vary depending on the content of the digital communication (digital signal).
