DESCRIPTION

If an ECM that is incompatible with the engine immobiliser system is installed, the ECM outputs this DTC.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
If the ECM is replaced, register the ECU communication ID Engine Immobiliser System (W/ Smart Key System).

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT

(a) Clear the DTCs Engine Immobiliser System (w/ Smart Key System).

(b) Recheck for DTCs.

OK:

DTC B279C is not reoutput.

NG -- REPLACE ECM Removal

OK -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
