Initialization of Power Window During PDS

Service Category
General

Section
Pre-Delivery Service

Market
USA

Applicability

Introduction

As a result of the removal of the Short Pin, the "one-touch open and close" and "jam protection" functions of the driver's and front passenger's door power window will be inoperative. This is due to a loss of power to the window position memory stored in the microcomputers for each door's power window switch.

Initialize the driver's door and front passenger's door power window after installing the Short Pin in its original location during Pre-Delivery Service (PDS).

Any time the battery terminal has been disconnected, the driver's and front passenger's door power window MUST be re-initialized.
