E351 MANUAL TRANSAXLE: SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY:

REMOVAL

HINT: COMPONENTS: Instrument panel /meter (Service and Repair).

1. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY
2. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER

3. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER REAR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

HINT: (Removal)

4. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY REAR

HINT: (Removal)

5. DISCONNECT FLOOR SHIFT CABLE TRANSMISSION CONTROL SELECT
(a) Remove the clip and separate the top of the select cable from the shift lever assembly.
(b) Turn the lock and separate the select cable from the shift lever retainer.
6. DISCONNECT FLOOR SHIFT CABLE TRANSMISSION CONTROL SHIFT
(a) Separate the top of the sift cable from the shift lever assembly.
(b) Turn the lock and separate the sift cable from the shift lever retainer.
7. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and shift lever assembly.
