Removal

2AZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: ECM:

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Repair Instruction - Initialization).

2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

HINT: (Removal)(Coupe) or (Removal) (Convertible).

3. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

HINT: (Removal)(Coupe) or (Removal) (Convertible).

4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL NO.1 UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
HINT: (Removal).

5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL RH
HINT: (Removal).

6. REMOVE ECM





(a) Remove the 2 wire harness clamps.
(b) Disconnect the 5 ECM connectors.
(c) Remove the 2 nuts and ECM.
7. REMOVE ECM BRACKET





(a) Remove the 2 screws and ECM bracket.
8. REMOVE ECM BRACKET NO.2





(a) Remove the 2 screws and ECM bracket.
