Cruise Main Indicator Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The CRUISE main indicator light comes on while the cruise control system is in operation and blinks when there are any problems with the system.
DTCs can be read by counting the number of times the CRUISE main indicator light blinks.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE OF TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(c) Turn Techstream main switch on.
(d) Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Cruise Control / Data List.
(e) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the CRUISE main indicator light.

ECM (Cruise Control):





OK:
When the cruise control main switch is operated, the normal conditions listed above are shown on the display.
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
(a) Check if other functions in the combination meter (speedometer, indicator, etc.) operate normally.
OK:
Functions operate normally.
NG -- GO TO COMBINATION METER SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - ECM)





(a) Disconnect the combination meter and ECM connectors.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
