Toyota Vehicle Intrusion Protection System








THEFT DETERRENT: TOYOTA VEHICLE INTRUSION PROTECTION SYSTEM:

TERMINALS OF ECU

1. INSPECT TVIP ECU
(a) Disconnect the T3 ECU connector.





(b) Measure the resistance and voltage of the connector.
Standard:





If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
(c) Reconnect the T3 ECU connector. Measure the resistance of the terminals.
(d) Measure the resistance and voltage of connectors.
Standard voltage:





If the result is not as specified, the TVIP ECU may have a malfunction.
2. INSPECT INTEGRATION RELAY





(a) Disconnect the I12 relay connector.

(b) Measure the resistance of the connector.
Standard resistance:





If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
3. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL J/B (INTEGRATION RELAY)
(a) Disconnect the ID J/B connector of the instrument panel J/B.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard resistance:





If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
