Security Indicator Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the TVIP system is preparing to be set, this circuit lights up the security indicator. When the system has been set, it continually turns the security indicator on for 0.2 seconds and turns it off for 1.8 seconds.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the security indicator.
(b) Apply battery voltage and check that the security indicator turns on.
Standard resistance:





NG -- REPLACE SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TVIP ECU - SECURITY INDICATOR)





(a) Disconnect the TVIP ECU and security indicator connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SECURITY INDICATOR - BODY GROUND)





(a) Disconnect the security indicator connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE TVIP ECU
