ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR: ADJUSTMENT
ADJUSTMENT
HINT: A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (Removal).
1. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Check that the clearance measurements of areas A to B are within the standard range.

2. ADJUST LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Adjust the luggage compartment door panel position.
HINT:
- Centering bolts are used to mount the hood hinge and hood lock. The hood and hood lock cannot be adjusted with the centering bolts on. Substitute the centering bolts with standard bolts (with washers) when making adjustments.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (Removal).
(1) For forward / rear ward and right / left adjustments, loosen the bolts.
(2) For a vertical adjustment of the door front end, increase or decrease the number of washers between the hinge end door.
Torque: 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf)
(b) Adjust the striker.
HINT:
- Centering bolts are used to mount the hood hinge and hood lock. The hood and hood lock cannot be adjusted with the centering bolts on. Substitute the centering bolts with standard bolts (with washers) when making adjustments.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (Removal).
(1) Remove the spear wheel cover.
(2) Remove the rear floor finish plate.
(3) For forward / rearward and right / left adjustments, loosen the bolts.
(4) Using a hammer and a brass bar, tap the striker to adjust it.
Torque: 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)
(5) Perform the forward/rearward and right/left adjustments, by loosening the bolts of the luggage compartment door.
Torque: 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)
