2GR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: THROTTLE BODY: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected
Repair Instruction - Initialization.

3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE Removal

5. SEPARATE WATER BY-PASS HOSE






(a) Disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses from the throttle w/ motor body assembly.
6. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY






(a) Disconnect the throttle w/ motor body assembly connector.
(b) Remove the 4 bolts and throttle w/ motor body assembly from the intake air surge tank.
(c) Remove the throttle body gasket from the intake air surge tank.
