DTC B2799 - Communication with Immobiliser

DESCRIPTION

- If the ID code box receives a verification request signal from the ECM, it sends back verification information obtained from the certification ECU or steering lock ECU via the LIN communication line to the ECM.
- The ID code box sends immobilizer SET / UNSET signals to the ECM based on the information received from the certification ECU via the LIN communication line.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Delete the DTCs .
(b) Recheck for DTCs.
OK:
B2799 output does not recur.
NG -- RE-REGISTER ECU COMMUNICATION ID
OK -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK
2. RE-REGISTER ECU COMMUNICATION ID
(a) Re-register the ECU communication ID .
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Delete the DTCs .
(b) Recheck for DTCs.
OK:
B2799 output does not recur.
NG -- CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTOR
OK -- END
4. CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTOR
(a) Turn the power switch OFF.
(b) Check that the connectors are properly connected to the ECM and the transponder key ECU.
OK:
Connectors are properly connected.
NG -- CONNECT CONNECTORS PROPERLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECM - ID CODE BOX)





(a) Disconnect the D29 ID code box and A55 ECM connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. REPLACE ECM
(a) Replace the ECM Removal.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
7. REGISTER ECU COMMUNICATION ID
(a) Register the ECU communication ID .
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
8. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Delete the DTCs .
(b) Recheck for DTCs.
OK:
B2799 output does not recur.
NG -- REPLACE ID CODE BOX
OK -- END
