Removal and Replacement
BACK DOOR SUPPORTBack Door Support:
REMOVAL
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.
1. REMOVE BACK DOOR STAY ASSEMBLY LH
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the stay clip from the stay up side.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Using a screwdriver, remove the stay clip from the stay lower side.
HINT: While supporting the back door with your hand, remove the back door stay.
c. Remove the stay bracket and the 2 bolts.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL BACK DOOR STAY ASSEMBLY LH
a. Install the stay bracket with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 7.0 N.m (71 kgf.cm, 62 in.lbf)
b. Install the stay with the 2 stay clips.
