BACK DOOR

Back Door:

DISASSEMBLY

HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

1. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT SERVICE COVER
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the cover.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

2. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK COVER
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the cover.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

3. REMOVE DOOR PULL HANDLE
4. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD ASSEMBLY
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the back door trim board.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

5. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY
7. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK CYLINDER & KEY SET
a. Disconnect the 2 links from the door lock cylinder.
b. Remove the 2 nuts and door lock cylinder.

8. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 3 bolts and the door lock, and then disconnect the connector and link.
b. Remove the 3 screws and door lock actuator from the door lock.

9. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY
10. REMOVE BACK DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE
a. Remove the 2 nuts and outside handle, and then disconnect the connector.

11. REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE
a. Remove the 2 nuts and back door outside garnish.
b. Using a screwdriver, remove the back door outside garnish.

12. REMOVE CENTER STOP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

REASSEMBLY

1. INSTALL CENTER STOP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
2. INSTALL BACK DOOR GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE
a. Install the back door garnish sub-assembly with the 2 nuts.

Torque: 4.0 N.m (41 kgf.cm, 35 in.lbf)

3. INSTALL BACK DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE
a. Install the back door outside handle with the 2 nuts, and then reconnect the connector.

Torque: 4.0 N.m (41 kgf.cm, 35 in.lbf)

4. INSTALL LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY
5. INSTALL BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
a. Install the door lock actuator to the door lock with the 3 screws.
b. Install the back door lock assembly with the 3 bolts, and the reconnect the connector and link.

Torque: 7.0 N.m (71 kgf.cm, 62 in.lbf)

6. INSTALL BACK DOOR LOCK CYLINDER & KEY SET
a. Install the door lock cylinder with the 2 nuts.
b. Reconnect the 2 links to the door lock cylinder.

7. INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY
8. INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM ASSEMBLY
9. INSTALL BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD ASSEMBLY
a. Engage the 11 clips and install the back door trim board assembly to the back door trim.

10. INSTALL DOOR PULL HANDLE
11. INSTALL BACK DOOR LOCK COVER
a. Engage the 2 clips and 4 claws. Install the back door lock cover.

12. INSTALL LICENSE PLATE LIGHT SERVICE COVER
a. Attach 6 claws to the install license plate light service cover.
