Front Bumper: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

HINT: A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

1. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 2 bolts and clip.
b. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and remove the radiator grille.





HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH
a. Remove the 2 screws.
b. Partially remove the fender liner.

HINT: It is not necessary to fully remove the fender liner. Partially remove it so that the bumper cover can be removed in step 4.

3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER
a. Remove the 2 screws and 2 clips.
b. Disengage the hook, and remove the bumper cover.
c. with Fog light: Disconnect the fog light connectors.





5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER
6. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT
a. Using a clip remover, disconnect the wire harness clamp.
b. Remove the 4 nuts and reinforcement.





7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET LH
8. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET RH
9. REMOVE FRONT LH SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Spoiler)
a. Remove the screw and 4 retainers.
b. Disengage the clip and spoiler.

10. REMOVE FRONT RH SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Spoiler)

HINT: Use the same procedures described for LH side.

11. REMOVE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Fog Light)
12. REMOVE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Fog Light)
13. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER LH (w/o Fog Light)
14. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER RH (w/o Fog Light)
15. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH
a. Remove the 2 screws and side support.

16 .REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH
a. Remove the 2 screws and side support.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH
a. Install the side support with the 2 screws.

2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH
a. Install the side support with the 2 screws.

3. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER LH (w/o Fog Light)
4. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER RH (w/o Fog Light)
5. INSTALL FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Fog Light)
6. INSTALL FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Fog Light)
7. INSTALL FRONT LH SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Spoiler)
a. Engage the spoiler with a clip.
b. Install the 4 retainers and a screw to the spoiler.

8. INSTALL FRONT RH SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Spoiler)

HINT: Use the same procedures described for LH side.

9. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET LH
10. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET RH
11. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT
a. Install the reinforcement with the 4 nuts.





Torque: 36 N.m (367 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)

b. Install the wire harness clamp.

12. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER
13. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER
a. Engage the hook and install the bumper cover.





b. Install the bumper cover with the 2 screws and 2 clips.
c. with/Fog light: Connect the fog light connectors.

14. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH
a. Install the fender liner with the 2 screws.

15. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH
a. Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

16. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Install the radiator grille with the 2 bolts and clip.
