Inspection Mode Procedure
INSPECTION MODE PROCEDURE1. INSPECTION MODE
a. Activating inspection mode (Not using the intelligent tester)
HINT: Perform procedures "A" to "D" within 60 seconds.
1. Turn the power switch on (IG) (Procedure "A").
2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal twice with the shift P position (Procedure "B").
3. Fully depress the accelerator pedal twice with the shift N position (Procedure "C").
4. Fully depress the accelerator pedal twice with the shift P position (Procedure "D").
5. Check that the HV system warning light blinked on the multi-information display (Procedure "E").
6. Start the engine by turning the power switch while depressing the brake pedal (Procedure "F").
b. Activating inspection mode (Using the intelligent tester)
1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
3. Turn the intelligent tester on.
4. Select following menu items: DIAGNOSIS / OBD/MOBD / HV ECU / ACTIVE TEST / INSPECTION MOD1 / ON.
5. Check that the HV system warning light blinks on the multi-information display and the master warning light are illuminated in the combination meter.
6. Start the engine by turning the power switch while depressing the brake pedal.
c. Deactivating inspection mode
1. Turn the power switch off. The HV main system turns off simultaneously.
CAUTION:
- The idling speed in inspection mode is approximately 900 rpm. The engine speed increases to 1,500 rpm if the accelerator pedal is depressed by less than 60 %. If the accelerator pedal is depressed by more than 60%, the engine speed increases to 2,500 rpm.
- If a DTC is set during inspection mode, the master warning light and the warning massage illuminate on the multiinformation display.
- When the master warning light illuminates during the inspection mode, deactivate the inspection mode, and check DTC(s).
- Driving the vehicle without deactivating the inspection mode may damage the transaxle.
