1. FREEZE FRAME DATA

HINT: The hybrid vehicle control ECU records vehicle and driving condition information as freeze frame data the moment a DTC is stored. That data can be used for estimating or duplicating the vehicle conditions that were present when the malfunction occurred.

(a) Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the intelligent tester on.
(c) Select DIAGNOSIS on the menu screen.
(d) Select the following menu items: OBD/MOBD / HV ECU / DTC INFO / CURRENT CODES.
(e) Check the freeze frame data of the output DTCs.
