Overhaul

DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY




a. Remove the 5 screws.
b. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the air conditioning panel sub-assembly.




c. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the ornament.

2. REMOVE CONTROL KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY


NOTE: When disassembling the air conditioning control assembly, eliminate static electricity by touching the vehicle body to prevent the components from being damaged.




a. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the control panel case.




b. Remove the 5 screws and switch control sub-assembly.

c. Driver Side:




1. Disengage the 3 claws and pull the control knob sub-assembly to the position shown in the illustration.




2. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the control knob sub-assembly.

HINT: Remove the control knob sub-assembly and the dual push switch as a unit.

d. Passenger Side:




1. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the control knob sub-assembly.

REASSEMBLY

1. INSTALL CONTROL KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

NOTE: When disassembling the air conditioning control assembly, eliminate static electricity by touching the vehicle body to prevent the components from being damaged.

a. Driver Side:




1. Engage the dual push switch with dial on the switch control sub-assembly.
2. Engage the 3 claws.




3. Engage the 3 claws and install the control knob sub-assembly.

b. Passenger Side:




1. Engage the 3 claws and install the control knob sub-assembly.




c. Install the switch control sub-assembly with the 5 screws.




d. Engage the 4 claws and install the control panel case.

2. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY




a. Engage the 4 claws and install the ornament.




b. Engage the 4 claws.
c. Install the air conditioning panel sub-assembly with the 5 screws.
